Are CD-ROM drive letters in 'My Computer' and 'Current... assignment' the same?
Action:
1) Press the 'Eject' button on the front of the CD-ROM drive, remove the CD from the drive, and close the drive door.
2) Open 'Device Manager'.

3) Select the 'View devices by type' radio button, and double-click on 'CDROM' in the 'View devices by type' list box. (The 'CD-ROMs' icon will expand displaying all of the CD-ROM drives installed on the computer.)
4) Select the icon of the CD-ROM drive that is not functioning properly, and click 'Properties'. (The CD-ROM 'Properties' dialog box appears.)

5) Click the 'Settings' tab, and view the drive letters displayed in the 'Current drive letter assignment' box, and in the 'Reserved drive letters' area.
6) Click 'OK' to close the CD-ROM 'Properties' dialog box.
7) Click 'OK' to close the 'Device Manager'.
8) Double-click the 'My Computer' icon on the desktop, and view the drive letter of the CD-ROM drive that is not functioning properly.
